She is a former member of the Waitsfield Select Board and former board member of the Mad River Valley Planning District, Friends of the Mad River Board, and the Waitsfield Planning Commission.
When the State Legislature is not in session, Kari works as the Department of Environmental Conservation as the Special Projects Director, working on a variety of topics including toxics in the environment and civil rights compliance. She has worked for over two decades in water resources management and was the manager of the Vermont Clean Water Initiative Program and Administrator for the Clean Water Fund. Kari squeezes in as much hiking, skiing, paddling and biking as she can, and invites you to join her!
